About Lisa

After growing up in sunny California, I moved to the snowy mountains of Utah as a university student and never left! I never got used to the snow, but did fall in love with just about everything else, including my husband. I’ve been married to a famous musician (he’s just the best human too) for more than half my life and have four amazing kids. A lover of learning, I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Political Science. Professionally, I have gone from political operative to high school AP English teacher to now a published author and each chapter of my life has been an adventure! Other than reading and writing (oh how I love the power of language), I love to travel anywhere, go on scenic bike rides, climb easy hikes that end with a great view, and watch movies and sports (especially football) with my family. Eden is my debut novel and I am currently writing the sequel!
